Dear Working Group Members. Set forth below is a summary of the substantive items discussed during yesterday’s Geographic Regions Review Working Group meeting/call. The three subjects discussed during the call were the Interim Report, potential plans for a community workshop at the upcoming Cartagena meeting and ICANN’s response to the recent letter from the League of Arab States. Geographic Regions Review Working Group Call Meeting Report – 5 November 2010 Attendees: WG Members: David Archbold Olga Cavalli Cheryl Langdon-Orr Fahd Batayneh Staff: Rob Hoggarth Gisella Gruber-White 1. Topic One – Completion and Publication of Interim Report: Working Group members thoroughly reviewed the latest Interim Report draft (DA5RHv7) and assigned final edit responsibilities for specific paragraphs to David and Rob. A final revised red-line format document draft will be circulated to WG members on Monday 8 November with a request for final input by COB 10 November. Please look for the final draft document in your in boxes on Monday. The publication and public timetables proposed at the last meeting will otherwise remain unchanged. Thus, the ICANN community will have through 30 January 2011 to comment on the Interim Report. 2. Topic Two – Workshop During ICANN Cartagena Meeting: Staff reported that a Thursday morning time slot has been requested for a Public Geographic Regions Review Workshop in Cartagena. Assignment of a confirmed time slot will likely be confirmed by 16 November. The format, agenda and other plans for the session will be discussed at the next WG meeting to be held during the week of 15 November. Staff will circulate a Doodle scheduling poll for the meeting day and time in the near future. 3. Topic Three - ICANN Response to the League of Arab States: Staff confirmed that ICANN responded to the 28 August letter from the League of Arab States. A copy of that reply letter is attached to this message. The letter and copies of other public ICANN correspondence can be found here - http://www.icann.org/en/correspondence/.
