Dear Working Group Members.
Set forth below is a compilation of the substantive items discussed and
proposed during the Geographic Regions Review Working Group Call conducted on 2
March 2011. The call discussions focused on the Final Report draft
issues/topics matrix document and planning for the San Francisco Workshop.
Geographic Regions Review Working Group Call Meeting Report - 2 March 2011

1. Topic One – Final Report Issues Matrix:
Working Group members on the call agreed that, after some minor modifications,
the draft issues matrix document was appropriate for sharing with the community
and for using as a foundation for discussion at the Working Group Workshop in
San Francisco. Dave Archbold will revise column three of the document and Rob
Hoggarth will prepare a new introduction for the document.
The revised document will be circulated on Monday March 7 and working group
members will have 48 hours to comment before the document is released. The
document will then be made available for the Workshop and for individual
community discussions in San Francisco.
2. Topic Two – Working Group Workshop in San Francisco:
Working Group members on the call agreed to go forward with the community
workshop session in San Francisco. Staff advised that the session is scheduled
for Thursday, March 17 from 1100 AM to Noon local time (PDT) in the Olympic
Room. The link to the workshop session web page is -
http://svsf40.icann.org/node/22217. Members agreed that the workshop agenda
willfocus on four or five main questions derived from the draft matrix document.
Working Group members are asked to declare their preferred issues/topics from
the matrix and provide feedback to the group mailing list. If at all possible,
the feedback on discussion issues for the workshop should be shared with the
list no later than the time that feedback on the revised draft matrix is
supplied next week.
3. Final Report Publication Schedule:
Working Group members agreed that for now it appears that the goal to publish
the Final Report prior to the June ICANN Public Meeting in Singapore is still

Working Group members did not discuss the timing for the next meeting/call.
Staff will circulate the link to a new DoodleScheduling Poll the week after the
San Francisco meeting to schedule the next meeting.
Glen has already circulated the meeting recording and transcript to the Working
Group mailing list. Please share any comments or thoughts on the recorded
