Dear Geographic Regions Review Working Group Members:

I hope that all is well with you. After a long hiatus, Dave Archbold and I
had the opportunity to meet during the ICANN Public Meeting in Beijing. We
discussed the status of the group¹s review effort and agreed to a timetable
for completing the revisions to the Working Group¹s Final Report so that it
could be readied for your review and then community circulation prior to the
ICANN Public Meeting in Durban.

I wanted to alert you that we hope to have a final work product completed
soon and circulated to you for review and comment. The latest draft
document includes extensive revisions from the draft Final Report (see -
http://www.icann.org/en/news/public-comment/geo-regions-draft-final-report-3
0sep11-en.htm) and is based on the community feedback, working group
discussions and correspondence that we had earlier last year.

Because of the extended period between the last draft effort and today, it
will likely be useful to hold a conference call to review the draft and give
you all an opportunity to refresh your thoughts about the Final Report¹s
recommendations. For some of you, circumstances or ideas may have changed,
and the group should take the opportunity to re-confirm the report
recommendations.

When I circulate the draft document, I will include a Doodle Scheduling Poll
link to let you all indicate the best potential times for a follow-up call.

I hope that you will all be able to contribute to this final effort of the
group. In the meantime, please drop a line to me, Dave or send a general
message to the list if you have specific thoughts, ideas or questions about
this final effort of the working group.

Best,

Rob
