Dear people at ICANN,
Please do not force private details of everyone out in to the open.
Thing is various groups often use that information to send various spam
to email, phone and even home address. Spam however is not worst thing.
Public WHOIS records make a life so much easier for identity thieves.
This also exposes people to possible stalkers or bullies. Certain groups
of people may use bullying to drive away competing websites. Especially
if those are run by hobbyist people and not a company. All in all such
change would do much more harm than good. Especially since there already
are ways to obtain whois information via legal means. If anything - such
decision would reduce accuracy of WHOIS data because people will start
entering fake details. All in all its in public interest to not change
current rules.
