Hi,

My vote would be for the non extension.

Not because we already gave some weeks advance notice of the opening.

Because whatever the deadline is most individuals and groups will succeed
(or fail) to post just within that deadline.

If people want to discuss their views on extending (or not) then they may do
so via the list. 

Doing so on the poll would not be transparent, as the poll will effectively
vanish in a few days time.
