hi,
one thing that was noticed in the election is the power a single house
that:
a. finds agreement between the SGs
b. enforces SG (party) discipline on its voters
can have in elections
Basically a house that can do this can control the election and force
the result to a runoff for its candidate where s/he either wins or is
blocked.
And if both houses can meet the condition then we get deadlock.
I don't know if people care, but i had not noticed this property
before the election. and if we care, then maybe we can talk about it.
a.
ps. this is not meant to criticize the recent election in any way. it
was just a property of the election mechanism we have.
