Apologies that I will miss today's call. I am in Europe on business and have
a competing obligation.
I want to propose for consideration that the RN WG should meet on Saturday
morning, in order to discuss with the GNSO Council its recommendations. The
GNSO Council has a meeting/dialogue with the GAC regarding the GAC
principles for gTLDs. there are several councilors who have been active
members of the RN WG, but many who have not; many of the topics discussed in
depth in the RN WG deserve discussion at the GNSO Council level, before
meeting with the GAC. It should be expected, for instance, that on all
issues that the GAC may have interest, they will want to understand how the
proposed next steps of work will progress, or at least what is under
consideration, so that they can discuss how to interact with the GNSO.
I can attend if the meeting is on Saturday or Sunday.
I saw a suggestion for a meeting on Thursday, following the public forum of
the Board, and before the Board meets on Friday a.m. I am not available
during the week of the ICANN meeting.
