[gnso-rn-wg] Final Edits to RN-WG Subgroup Reports
Here are redline versions containing final edits to each of the subgroup reports. RN-WG Members on Today's Call * Please review the highlighted edits to ensure that I captured them accurately; if you find any errors communicate them on the RN-WG list ASAP but not later than the deadline below. RN-WG Members not on Today's Call (or a portion of the call) * Please review the highlighted edits to ensure that you have no significant objections. * If you do have any significant objections to any changed recommendations, you may submit a minority position that will be incorporated into the applicable subgroup report after the recommendation table; note the communicate them on the RN-WG list ASAP but not later than the deadline below.* * If you have minor editorial changes, communicate them on the RN-WG list ASAP but not later than the deadline below. * Note that it is not possible to make material changes to the recommendations because the group on the call today finalized them and it is not possible to reconvene the group. Your only option is to submit a minority opinion. Time Deadline: As noted on today's agenda and stated in today's meeting, any corrections of the edits made are due to the list not later than 7 am PDT [10 pm HKT; 5 pm EEST; 4 pm CEST; 3 pm IST; 2 pm UTC; 10 am EDT; 9 am CDT; 2 am NZST (next day). If no communication is received by this time, it will be assumed that all is okay and the reports will finalized and sent to Liz for incorporation into the full WG report and ultimately into the New gTLD report. For your information, please note the following: 1. No edits were made to the Controversial Names report. (I attached simply so everyone would have a complete set.) 2. In the Geographic Names report, no changes were made to recommendations but a sentence was added in Supporting Information Section 3, Expert Consultation on page 15; also the yellow highlighted text in the same section needs to be validated and updated depending on validation - that will happen as soon as I get needed information from Liz. 3. In the gTLD Names report, a significant change was made to the recommendation and the minority statement from Edmund Chung was deleted. 4. In the ICANN/IANA report, significant changes were made to the recommendations, a minority statement was added from the original RN-WG report and in the Supporting Information section: New text was added to the beginning of Section 3, Expert Consultation; the text previously in Section 4, Summary of Relevant Information Sources, was moved to Section 3; and a link to the original RN-WG report was inserted in Section 4. 5. In the Single/Two-Character report, one significant change to a recommendation was made. Please let me know if you have any questions.
