  Avri Doria:i just heard people saying we were in violent agreement that there 
was no issue for this group, and that i still disagree with.
  Avri Doria:nope i have typed everything i wanted to say

  Tim Ruiz:@Avri, not that it is not an issue for this group, but that it is a 
"qualified" issue that is more encompassing than what this group is dealing 
with. Or something like that :-)
  Avri Doria:as long as there is room to discuss any issues that are specific 
to this  specific issue in the context of the PDP, I am fine.
  Tim Ruiz:@Avri, another way to put my personal feeling about it a good result 
would be that the privacy and data protection become an issue of its own that 
is dealt with fully by a separate WG of some sort.
  Susan Prosser:I tend to agree with Tim.  It warrants a deeper discussion.
  Tim Ruiz:@Avri, I don't disagree - any issues specific to what we are dealing 
with, yes.
  Avri Doria:I want the deeper discussion as well.  but sstill i beleive there 
are issues related just to existing registrants who must transition from one 
states privacy regime to another.
  Avri Doria:i know it  has been difficult to concretize this for the group, 
but i don't want us to give up yet.

subgroup on data protection...there is a mention of data transfer but of course 
Avri is right the discussion needs to go on

  Avri Doria:I am stil trying to understand why anyone does thick whois.
