Dear ICANN,
I have a web client who has a domain name with Melbourneit.com
He had me build a new site and change his name and we were going to point his
old name to the new site.
All ready to go and I'm ready to sign into his account with his code, with his
permission, with me as Technical contact, etc.
and I'm unable to point the name servers. Won't let me. Domain name won't
show up, etc.
I have now spent 15 days of about 30 emails between my client and myself trying
to remedy the problem with Melbourne,
ask for their help to point nameservers. They won't do it.
We include phone numbers, my client is on the emails, etc.
I guess they are supposed to be reputable. But I can tell you my experience
has been frustrating because I've tried for 15 days
and 30 emails to get it done for him. With godaddy, I can take care of it in
about 6-10 seconds.
Does my client have any recourse? He now doesn't get to use his new sharp site
for the past several weeks, which shows his specials,
movies on his business, etc.
Not fair. Not a good company. Just want other web developers to know that
keeping it in the USA..is way way better.
Any suggestions, when you can't get the company to cooperate?
I've even written their Investor Relations trying to get help. But no response.
I guess all I can do is blog here about it, so web developers know what a
problem this can be. Talking directly to them hasn't helped.
Either they don't trust their American customers, they don't care about their
American customers, or they are uncooperative when they know a domain name will
be unlocked and moved away. Which it definitely will.
Can ICANN help us?
Sincerely,
CCH
