Hi all,

Sorry about the confusion  --  this problem of the poll is  entirely of our 
creation. We got so interested in the discussion on the list that we never got 
back to the mechanics of revising the poll. We’ve asked Marika or Margie to 
slightly revise it. Perhaps this is the first in a continuing series of The 
Poll of the Day.

We know, there has been considerable discussion about "phasing" and  
"baselines" that this poll doesn't address. That conversation is very  
productive (and ongoing) and we hope it can resolve to a few choices that we 
can put into tomorrow's Poll of the Day.  :-)
