1. Current vocation, employer and position
Director, Industry & Government Relations
Neustar, Inc
2. Type of work performed in 1 above
Working in Neustar's External Affairs office, I develop and implement policy
related to our Domain Name and DNS business.
3. Identify any financial ownership or senior management/leadership
interest in registries, registrars or other firms that are interested parties
in ICANN policy or any entity with which ICANN has a transaction, contract, or
other arrangement
Neustar is a registry operator under contract with ICANN (.biz) and the U.S.
Department of Commerce (.us). Neustar provides back-end technical registry
services to several gTLD and ccTLD registry operators, and DNS to TLD operators
and enterprise customers.
4. Identify any type of commercial interest in ICANN policy
development outcomes. Are you representing other parties?
Other than being a "contracted party" bound by Consensus Policies, as defined
in the .biz top-level domain agreement, and pursuing new gTLDs, NeuStar does
not have any other commercial interest in ICANN GNSO policy development
outcomes.
5. Describe any arrangements or agreements between you and any other
group, constituency or person(s) regarding your nomination or selection as an
advisory group team member
There are no arrangements or agreements between me and any other group,
constituency, or person(s) regarding my involvement in the VIWG.
6. Geographic Region associated with the nationality of volunteer
(Africa, North America, Latin America/Caribbean, Asia/Australia/Pacific and
Europe)
North America
7. Stakeholder Group(s) in which volunteer currently participates
within the ICANN organization
I participate in the GNSO Registry Stakeholder Group for .biz and am on the
ccNSO Council representing the .us ccTLD.
In addition in order to understand everyone's true interests (as opposed to
which group they participate in), would you be so kind as to state whether you
are affiliated in some form or fashion with one or more TLD applications,
whether that is as a registry front-end, registry back-end, DNS provider,
consultant to a TLD applicant.
Neustar expects to be involved with several TLD applications, possibly as a
registry front-end, registry back-end, and/or DNS provider.
