Is the thinking that this work is not needed for the Board report? If not,
then an October completion is way too late. I stongly believe that we need to
complete our work in two months as mentioned a couple times yesterday and
submit the report to the Board NLT August.

Subject: [gtld-council] Rights Protection Mechanism Ad hoc Group
> Colleagues
Just following up on our weekend meeting in the context of the PRO-
WG. I have set out below a suggestion for a way forward after
consultation with Avri Doria, Kristina Rosette and Mike Rodenbaugh.
> Background:
>
> The PRO-WG recommendations suggested that the production of a
> reference implementation document on a variety of rights protection
> mechanisms may be useful for potential gTLD applicants.
> Objective:
> To produce a reference implementation document on a range of
> possible rights protection mechanisms or circumstances that new
> gTLD applicants may consider in the application process. The work
> will not re-open the work of the PRO-WG but will provide some
> practical and user friendly descriptions about RPMs. The work may
> also describe conditions or circumstances that may make the use of
> an RPM unnecessary.
> Please respond to me directly if you would like to be included in
> the work of this group. You may wish to invite other experts with

> The group will begin its work work on Tuesday 10 July (suggested
> timing is 13h00 UTC 15h00 Brussels 17h00 11h00 Washington DC and
> 08h00 LA). The group's work will be completed by 15 October and
