<p><font size="2" face="sans-serif">I am opposed to the renewal of the .net
agreement with only changes that benefit the domain and content
providers.</font><br>
<br>
<font size="2" face="sans-serif">1. It makes no fiscal sense to auto renew this
agreement without an opportunity for competitive bidding. Allow for
alternative options and select the best provider from what will certainly be a
large, qualified pool.</font><br>
<br>
<font size="2" face="sans-serif">2. URS too greatly curtails the rights of
those who own and legitimately use domains, allowing for rapid takeover of
long-standing domains if a second party wants them, merely by registering a new
trademark. UDRP provides for better oversight for this process, resulting in a
more even-handed approach, and is better suited for the long-standing domains
such as .net.</font></body></html>
