[npoc-voice] call for nominations candidacy as Chair

Dear community members,

With regards to the upcoming elections of the Executive Committee that
have been recently announced on this list, and the corresponding call for
nominations, I would like to let you know that, after careful
considerations, I have decided not to run again as candidate to Chair. My
upcoming professional commitments simply won´t allow me to continue invest
the amount of time needed to do a good work as Chair. If elected of
course, I would not want to commit to our members, knowing in advance that
I won´t be able to deliver. This is a decision that has been hard to take
because  NPOC has now been part of my life for almost three years and I
truly believe in its mission. In addition to the fact that being active as
Chair is very rewarding at a professional and at a personal level,  I am
now convinced more than ever before, that the role NGOs have to play in
the GNSO and at ICANN in general, is very relevant, so that we can achieve
a more balanced representation of interests within the organization and
that we can flag issues that from our perspectives, are key.

Our term as an Executive Committee ends 10 July 2014, therefore until then
the current Excom and myself as Chair, we will continue to work and to
promote the interests of our members in the ICANN ecosystem. But I would
like to take this opportunity to encourage any community member interested
in being a candidate to the position of Chair, or to any other of the
positions announced, to declare itself. It is a great experience and a
meaningful cause.
