The DOC approved the proposed Registry Agreement between ICANN and VeriSign as
is. The DOC also announced that it and VeriSign agreed to amend the
Cooperative Agreement between them, of which ICANN is not a party. Jon

I believe the agreement is the same, it is just that the NTIA is reserving a
right to approve amendments to the agreement (especially around pricing and
renewal).
Some clarification from the ICANN staff would be helpful prior to our meeting
on Monday.

It¹s worth noting that the agreement apparently approved today was *not* the
agreement submitted by ICANN and Verisign. More details are here:

This new deal appears to have new terms on pricing and renewals.
