Thanks Owen. That is obviously a typo. We’ll get it fixed. It should be 14
March 2011.

Hi Julie,

Checking the link below from Steve, the dates are listed as:

[cid:3374571898_1696504]

It thus does appear that the comment period was extended to March 14, 2010 (not
2011).

Regards,

Owen

Meeting

Steve,

As mentioned in one of our previous meetings when the Working Group requested
translations I noted that the comment period must be the same for the
translations as it is for the English version. The Working Group agreed on 60
days as the comment period. The translations were added last Friday and the
comment period was extended by 60 days (the original period) accordingly.

Thanks,
Julie

I may have missed this, but any explanation for why the public comment period

Dear IRD-WG members,

Edmon Chung’s presentation for the GNSO Council at its Working Session
yesterday went very well. Several Council members had the following
questions/comments that we thought you would find interesting:

 1. Have the WG considered adding a language tag to the contact data?
 2. Where does the original and transliterated/translated data reside?
Registrars, registries?
 3. How would IRD affect searchable Whois?
 4. Are there multiple transliteration standards for a single language, if
so, would this result in inconsistent transliterations?
 5. Concern that the issues being discussed by the WG will be difficult for
Councilors who are not technical experts to understand.

Below are the remaining IRD-Related meetings for the week. Please let me know
if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Julie
