Most Popular Invalid TLDs Must Not Be Reserved
Regarding <http://forum.icann.org/lists/ssac-retreat-2009/msg00000.html>, I strongly oppose such reservation of most popular invalid TLDs. This would give a weapon to any software vendor which could block any TLD, just by configuring it by default in its programs. I am aware that Microsoft and Apple both hardwired ".local" in their operating systems but it does not mean the TLD should be blocked just because two companies decided unilaterally to use it. This would be a very bad precedent and a recognition of the use of force. Attachment:
