Dear Sirs,

This is to contact you regarding the proposed changes to the Whois-Database.
I am an attorney at law and have often found it useful, if not crucial, to
have access to information about the owner of a domain in order to
effectively clients? needs and enforce their IP rights.

I was made aware that on October 31, 2007, ICANN's policy advisory body will
vote on three motions that will determine the future structure of the domain
name and Whois system. I request that the GNSO Council should adopt Motion 2
and reject Motions 1 and 3.

Yours faithfully,

Katharina Schmid
