I'm sorry I can't attend the conference call.
Here are some remarks I would like to do.

I think this new idea of "focal points" deserves some discussion.
I have been asking the votes on the ALS from Costa Rica since before Rome.
If someone feels that it is not good enough for any reason, let's discuss
it. If that is not the case, I can't understand why are still discussing
this matter.

No - that's exactly the opposite. In the past it happened to me to ask whether we are ready with an application, and then getting no answer, and then asking again, and getting one answer from one member from the Region, and after a few days getting another answer from another member with something different. Couple that with the fact that all of us receive hundreds of e-mails per day, and you will understand how difficult it is to be sure about the status of the applications. So if there is one person that is responsible to always know what's happening in the Region, it will be much easier and quicker to ascertain the status of applications, the intended roadmap for the future, etc.

(So yes, I will call the vote on Costa Rica too.)

How we plan to integrate certified ALS to the process? Is it a good idea to
have a monthly conference call with their representatives ?
What happens with the idea to move all our discussions to the public list ?

These last points was left to online discussion as many members weren't there and it was getting late. So we should actually do so :)
