I propose creating a .sex or .mat (for mature) TLD, not
because I have voyeuristic or other interests, but for a more conservative reason.
I have two small children and as they get older I think it would be helpful to have
a specific "red light district" of internet addresses that I could easily restrict
their access to. I know that there are plenty of existing sites that would
not fall under this, but I suspect that a large percentage of future adult sites
would be drawn to registering in this area. I would even support REQUIRING
that adult sites adopt this type of extension, both new and existing ones.
Right now, kids can stumble across an adult site by looking up a term as simple as
"wildlife". It may seem distasteful to some and may be politically incorrect
upon first blush, but what do you think?
