I am a owner of a .com company in asia, and unfortunately the name of
my company is a generic one that I can't trademark it. I spent a lot of money and
effort, nights and nights to promote my .com, from nobody knows until now it's famous.
I deeply worry about that the future TLD's would get use of my effort or even destroy
my carrer and my life! If the introduction of TLD's is without control or lack of
control, I think only cybersquatter will happy. I want to ask ICANN who will get
myname.SHOP (.SHOP is a really good name) or myname.WEB? Customer will confuse it
with myname.COM, right? It's common sense! Similarly, could myname.NET and myname.ORG
apply for myname.SHOP? They are supposed non business in nature, ICANN has the responsibility
to answer this before they introduce new TLD's. I hope the plan of new TLD's is
not a jackpot lottery sponsored by the present .COM owner !!!
