Every country is free to establish whatever policy regarding their ccTLD - so did Cocos Islands (.cc), so does now Tuvalu (.tv) - so, what ? If they are fortunate enough to have a desirable TLD and they decided to get some money from that - what's wrong ?

Time will show if the familiarity is usefull if taken out of context.
And anyway, the gold rush (if any) will deplete soon the 'highly desirable' names leaving only the trash. They may face the same legal problems but I don't know if they care much about the international law ther on their nine islands in the middle of the ocean.

Why is noone registering See.us, Join.us, ComeTo.us ?
