Does Microsoft NOT sell its Windows98 as a profit?
Because, if it does, why should their right be more valuable than the one of a person owning windows98.com? This person might offer free services concerning bucks in windows98 - wouldn't that be a very valuable thing? Who would be more commercial?

I am neither judging nor am I totally serious, but a new .reg gtld is the first thing that has to be created - to the benefit of all.
... please save the Internet community from its possible "trademark death" for mere commercial reasons.

Someone stated that the Internet is not only commercial, but also private. I think it is just private and the commercial sector need still to be created. The .com has been thought to be commercial, but as the access was never controlled, it never was, although some privates have become young commercials in the meantime ...

We must built a new commercial Internet gtld under .reg AND guarantee commercial rights and laws THERE from the beginning on, but NOT IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR.
