Although, of course, it's too late to get any sort of ballot status this time around, I think it is inevitable that certain factions will develop, some of which I will like, others of which I will not. ;-)       Yes, this is a "representative" Democracy, but what I fear is that the candidates we will actually have on the ballot will all be from the same "political party."  That would hardly be a representative group of candidates from which to make a reasonable vote.
