I often don't grasp to any great extent how democracy is supposed to work in the first place. Why should stupid people of any age get to decide anything?

On the other hand, if your smart enough to do thing "X" (example: Admin a DNS server), should you be granted some right some less capable person is declined? Well, why not.

Aside from being offended; (and you have every reason to be a little offended, being excluded due to something beyond your control like your age), what do you: dsontag suggest as a criterea?

I always thought the way democracy deals with the 'why do stupid people get to vote' is smarter people talk them into voting differently, anyway, -and-

Stupid is a constant biased around the center of public opinion, so the 'stupid' vote balances itself out.

So, Age or test, or what dsontag? If you can work the 'MAN' command in Linux, your in?
