I bet that if a non-profit
agency approached the people who applied for the .KIDS registry with the idea of
helping them to monitor the .KIDS extension use, they would find them willing to
listen to proposals for a monitoring partnership or contract type relationship.
Given that they thought up the idea of reserving the .KIDS extension to begin with
shows that this is their primary goal. Give them a chance. Don't assume
that just because someone wants to make a living at something they love, or
regard highly, makes them dishonest or uncharitable. Granted, I don't know
anything about these people, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Contact them, talk to them about your ideas! Ask them about what they plan
to do. Perhaps together you can work out a mutually beneficial arrangment. Peace, K.
