ICANN seems to have gotten one heckuva lucky break.       You know who might be interested...?  Tech TV (Cable/Satellite TV network dedicated to computer/internet issues -formerly NDTV?), and Computer News type magazines,  etc.  This will target the appropriate technical market that would tend to be more interested in the issue, and they aren't as concerned with the presidential election process.  They're probably starving for some juicy news.  They might be able to get the ball rolling.
