"Social Policy Choices" - ICANN properly avoiding them with .kids |

Hi. You don't appear to understand. The staff recommendation
was precisely correct in regard to "social policy choices" (which ICANN is
specifically forbidden to make); choosing to support one social view (i.e., that
children should be restricted from a specific spectrum of content (no matter _how_
that spectrum is defined, which is a "social policy choice" in and of itself),
or that parents, schools, or governments should be helped in making such filtering) is
such a choice. There are many people, myself included, who do _not_ believe that
children should be restricted by anyone in their choice of content. -Allen
