As an internet user and internet
service provider, please pass on my thanks to Dr. Twomey and the ICANN
board for prompt handling of VeriSign's clear violation of it's responsibilities
to the internet community.
Redirecting inaccurate URL's is a
CHOICE users can select with most browsers. A huge number of us turn this
choice off and select a simple reporting of our mistake. We do NOT
want VeriSign or any other TLD administrator gathering information on
the URLs we enter and most assuredly do NOT need their commercialized
assistance in correcting mistakes.
ICANN's actions prove the
organization's moral capability.
