Unfortunately I must disagree.

Neither the NSI nor IANA documents are adequate.

Compromising between the two is much like compromising between a
Volkswagen and a Toyota when we really want a bicycle.

They are both simply different shades of essentially the same color. A
simple compromise between the two will not result in an acceptable
proposal.

Both the NSI and IANA proposals diminish the voice of the individual in
favor of the large, often profit-interested, organization.

There is little, if any, true accountability to the large body of those
who are effected by the Internet.

Both documents are essentially boilerplate documents which one would use
to create a closed, self-perpetuating private corporation. A few plastic
flowers have been glued on the side of each, but their fundamental closed
nature remains unchanged.

There are private negotiations between NSI, the for-profit corporation,
and IANA.

There is absolutly no reason for you, me, or anyone else to accept the
outcome of that negotion as adequate.

The result is still completely within our hands -- if we chose to use
them.
