gTLDs

I’m writing as an philanthropist, someone who loves  the city of San 
Francisco and the concept of a top level domain for San  Francisco, and someone 
who has followed the proposed new TLD application process  with rapt interest. 
I support the proposed Expressions of Interest in new  gTLDs. 
Those of us who seek top level domains for cities,  states, regions, and 
ethnic and language groups are extremely dismayed at the  prospect of 
continued delays of the new gTLD round. The internet community wants  and needs 
these new geographic TLDs. 
If the Expressions of Interest facilitate the  conclusion of the endless 
cycle of new Draft Applicant Guidebook versions and  the issuance of a 
concrete date for acceptance of applications for new TLDs, I  am all for them.
