Dear Justine,

Many thanks for your prompt response. Personally, I would be happy to accept
all edits.

As you know, voluntary transformation is anathema to me, as it would be so hard
to get scattered volunteers to apply consistent standards of transliteration.

WG members are about to get an opportunity to say which comments and responses
they agree with when the new version of the tool is circulated.

Regards,

Chris.

Dear Chris,

Many thanks for your reply. It is consistent with what I had thought.

As suggested, I attach herewith a modified review tool v7. My comments relate
to lines 6, 14, 40, 50, and 72, and a spelling error correction in line 67. I
felt the existing comments under WG Response for these lines needed further
clarity and I have inserted some text in CAPS (also change tracked) in the
attached copy for your/WG's consideration.

Whilst having missed the benefit of discussions on lines 22, 74, and 75 from
today's call, in principle I am in agreement with the stated WG Response for
line 22. I disagree with the call for mandatory transformation in line 74 and
view IPC's comment in line 75 as a possible way forward but in respect of
totally voluntary transformation by registrar or registrants. I am of course
guided by the technical viability of such proposal.

That's it for now.

Regards,

Justine Chew

Dear Justine,

The final version of the comment review tool will form an appendix of the final
report and influence various sections of it. In early drafts you will be see
which comments caused which changes.

Please raise your issues now on the list. They may duplicate some of the
content of today’s call, especially if they refer to lines 22, 74 and 75, but
this will save time.

Chris.

Dear Chris,

My apologies for having missed the call, I only managed to log in at the tail
end of the hour.

I heard you say that you would be circulating an updated copy of the public
comment review tool document - I wanted to ask if this document was intended to
be appended to the Final Report, and if yes, would it be so in the form it is
currently presented? I had some comments about some of the "WG Response"
entries. Perhaps I should raise them in the updated copy which will be
circulated after this?

Thanks,

Justine Chew

Dear colleagues,

We weren't able to run today's meeting as there were only three participants.

I would like to suggest that we just postpone everything by one week. That
would mean we would circulate a draft final report on 14 April.

Before our next meeting, please make sure you are happy with the workplan and
check whether you have final amendments for

the comment review tool (see the URL below for both). So far no submissions
have been made. If there aren't any by the end of next week's meeting we will
assume that everyone is OK with the comments.

For those of you on holiday, enjoy it!

Regards,

Chris.
