The original recommendations were approved by the WG for the 19 march
report, but yes, since we have gone back and updated some of the
recommendations, it may be best to state that the full WG will have an
opportunity to consider these recommendations at the 3 May WG call.

Which category are you referring to? Single letter, single digit
combinations at the top level? We have examples listed (3F, a1, u7, etc)
Combinations of one letter and one digit at the top level is fine. A two
character name consisting of two digits is already permitted at the second
level.

Is the following in item 3 of the Executive Summary a true statement: "The
recommendations of this report were approved by the RN WG for inclusion in
the 19 March 2007 report."? Aren't the recommendations in this report going
to be different than the ones approved for the 19 March report?

Am I the only one who thinks that the following is not a clear way to
indicate that you are talking about 2-letter or 2 digit names or
combinations of 1 letter and 1 digit: "Single Letter/Single Digit
Combinations"? Also, the wording would seem to imply the possibility of
2-digits. How about "Combinations of one letter and one digit"?

The format for the Supporting Information is not exactly what I suggested
but I personally think the way you did it is a much better fit for your
report. As long as Liz is okay with it, I think it works well.

Attached is an updated single and two character subgroup report, with
hopefully the last format update we'll do before inclusion of the report
into the final WG report next week. Please note that I have incorporated the
recommendations sent yesterday by Marilyn, updated the symbols definition
based on our discussion on the subgroup call, added material to the single
and two character IDN section, revised the digits at the top level category,
and added material to the supporting resources at the end. I also updated
the recommendation on single letter single digit combinations at the top
level.
