Patrick, I've had a chance to read Mike Rodenbaugh's suggested changes to
the recommendations. I assume that you want to hear back from everyone,
since the sub group had essentially signed off on the earlier draft of
recommendations. I'm okay with Mike's suggestions on the recommendations.
In fact, there has been a 'de facto' reservation in place, based on RFCs,
but if it is important to Mike to make the distinction he has proposed, I
can live with that change. 

 

Thanks for distributing this for the sub group to see. I know it has meant a
lot of extra work for you to get this finalized with all the changes coming
and going. Thanks much for your contributions and excellent staff support,
as well!

Patrick, thanks a million more times for all the great work you have put
into this.  Thanks also to Greg, Marilyn and the rest of the subgroup who
have labored on this more than me the last 30 days.

 

I have just a few suggested edits to the Recos and footnotes, primarily
based on the notion that we are not 'continuing' reservations as we have not
found any requirement for them to date -- so essentially we are creating
reservations and not continuing them.  

 

I also delete my minority stmt re IDNs as the WG has essentially adopted it.
I modify my minority statement re ccTLDs.

Here is the latest version of the SG report. I have inserted hyperlinks to
bios for the technical experts consulted on the various categories and made
the other changes discussed yesterday. I'll give until around 1pm today for
out technical experts to respond to Marilyn's previous email. After that, we
should probably forward the clean version of the SG report to the full
Working Group.
