"and other matters that the Board determines, by a three-quarters (3/4) vote of Directors
voting, are not appropriate for public distribution shall not be included in the
preliminary report made publicly available"I have a problem with blanket statements
such as this one. Since the board's current population is not inclusive of
the greater internet community, it does not seem appropriate that it should be able
to exclude anything at its sole discretion. A 3/4 vote of the directors does
not in any way include the greatest portion of the internet community, yet it controls
it.
I would not agree that this board have blanket power to withhold information
from the public. The Corporation exists to facilitate the administration, in
technical terms, of the DNS. The internet community does not exist to protect
the Corporation. the Corporation exists to protect the community.
