I would like to suggest that one of the new top level domains should be "ADU" which is short for "adult."  Every society recognizes that there are items or discussions which are really appropriate only for adults.  The "ADU" top level domain recognizes this and so it would apply not only to porn sites, but to any other site which was intended only for use by adults.  For example, serious discussions in newsgroups shouldn't be overrun by hundreds of posts from children who want everyone to know why some rock star is the greatest in the world.  One advantage of "ADU" is that it avoids the negative connotations associated with other suggested TLDs like "XXX."  In addition, it respects the rights of adults and so avoids "dumbing down" the net to make it safe for children.  And since porn sites are always claiming that they do not want children to visit their sites, the "ADU" TLD would make it easier for parents to screen the sites their children can access.
