Here is my proposals. Before
we create any new gTLDs, let's first-of-all break up Network Solutions' monopoly
in the registry for .COM, .NET, and .ORG where NSI will only operate 1 gTLD.
Suggested Proposed breakup :
.COM TLD -
Operated by Network Solutions, Inc
.NET TLD - Operated
by Register.com, Inc
.ORG TLD - Operated by Tucows.com,
Inc
All 3 companiess mentioned are ICANN accredited registrars.
ICANN has to
make it CLEAR that only ONE company operates ONE gTLD and not more that one gTLD.
This means if NSI operates .COM, it shall not operate .NET, .ORG, .FIRM, etc. If
NSI (or any other registry operator violates this rule, it shall lose its priveledge
of operating ANY gTLD, including .COM.
