The cheapest trademark in Switzerland costs about 450$. Valid for 10 years. That's 45$ per year.

A domain name currently costs about 35$ per year. 3 years ago it was a lot more. During 10 years that is 350$.

It is easy to produce a label or design on an ordinary computer or to register a word as such. I just send one letter with the material inside to the "Institut für Geistiges Eigentum" in Berne. That's it.

It is easy to sell one "handmade" example of what you registered to someone else and get a receipt for it. That's all it needs.

Not much of a difference, isn't it?

Regards,
Friedrich

If you want detailed informations, please let me know. These are just rough figures.
