Self Nominating Rules |

I feel that the 10% threshold for self nomination is to high. I feel a
modest but reasonable level of support is 100 people.I see no reason to publish
supporters. The information on the nominee will indicate potential conflicts
of interest. I prefer the term "member-nominated" Why have a nominating committee
at all and who appoints them? Member nominations appear to be more consistant
with the intent of Members at Large. I recommend that the nominating committee
approach be dropped or that the details of potential conflicts of interest and background
on the nominating committee be published.
