A rather fatalistic viewpoint. To save the Internet from an NSI monopoly, there is no choice other than to grant domain registries  to a company partly owned and controlled by NSI?
Continuing the theme of wild hypotheticals, what if some party performs a mass buyout of Afilias?
You believe if a company can be taken over, it shouldn't be granted the right to run a registry? How many businesses can claim such invincibility?
