I read the posting from Mr. Howe and tend to agree with his assessment that ICANN is taking a cautious route in assigning new TLDs instead of trying to make the Web a better place for all of us.

I think a safe and designate TLD for kids is a great idea and should at least be attempted if it is possible. Throughout history, those who have dared to be different have been catalysts to the greatest change. In patents, I see this all the time.
