Two examples:
1:

Domain name:
        blacknightdomains.co.uk

    Registrant:
        Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd

    Registrant type:
        Non-UK Corporation

    Registrant's address:
        Unit 12a,Barrowside Business Park
        Carlow
        Carlow
        000000
        Ireland

2:
  Domain name:
        mneylon.co.uk

    Registrant:
        Michele Neylon

    Registrant type:
        Non-UK Individual

    Registrant's address:
The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their
address omitted from the WHOIS service.

    Registrar:
Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd t/a Blacknight Solutions [Tag =
BLACKNIGHT-IE]
        URL: http://www.blacknight.com

    Relevant dates:
        Registered on: 28-Jun-2006
        Renewal date: 28-Jun-2012
        Last updated: 13-Jul-2010

You have two factors - the "registrant" and the "registrant type"

Compare to say IE ccTLD:

a personal reg:

domain: browse.ie
descr: Michele Neylon
descr: Natural Person
descr: Discretionary Name
admin-c: ABG182-IEDR
tech-c: AAM456-IEDR
renewal: 23-March-2012
status: Active
nserver: ns.blacknightsolutions.com
nserver: ns2.blacknightsolutions.com
source: IEDR

vs a corporate:

domain: emailhosting.ie
descr: Blacknight Internet Solutions Limited
descr: Body Corporate (Ltd,PLC,Company)
descr: Discretionary Name
admin-c: AKF583-IEDR
tech-c: AAM456-IEDR
renewal: 14-July-2011
status: Active
nserver: ns1.blacknight.com
nserver: ns2.blacknight.com
source: IEDR

vs a "sole trader":

domain: films.ie
descr: Michele Neylon
descr: Sole Trader
descr: Discretionary Name
admin-c: ABG182-IEDR
tech-c: AAM456-IEDR
renewal: 07-June-2011
status: Active
nserver: NS.BLACKNIGHTSOLUTIONS.COM
nserver: NS2.BLACKNIGHTSOLUTIONS.COM
source: IEDR

The same applies with .eu (not surprisingly)

Though the way the registry handles it is pretty simple - if you provide data
in the "organisation" field you're considered to be "trading" ..
