hi all,

Roberto and i decided to give the working group a small holiday from the 
weekly-poll process this week.  we want to poll you about the meaningfulness 
and importance of the items in Mike's matrix, but it's too early to do that -- 
the working group needs to begin discussing and refining the items on Monday's 
call first.  followed by the usual brisk discussion on the list.  so we decided 
to take a week off and return to polling next week.
