>While we are pleased that we have been recommended for further >consideration, The fact that IOD's application was rejected for further consideration by the reviews teams only to be "saved" through the goodwill of ICANN seems slightly suspect. The application is either suitable for consideration or it isn't, ICANN's supposed intervention smacks of a political sop designed to subdue justifiable criticism. If these claimed discrepancies are valid, it put into question the competence and impartiality of the Business and Technical teams and their review process.
