Mikey,

I appreciate your willingness to chair (or co-chair) another group, but am
concerned since last time you volunteered to chair a WG you quit that post
midway through.  In considering your candidacy, this group deserves some
brief explanation as to why you did that, and some assurances as to why it
is not likely to happen again.

to all -- i'll only make a brief acknowledgement now, in keeping with
Milton's point of not getting too deep into the meat of things until the
deadline for volunteers has passed.  again i'd like to thank Berry for
submitting my name and would be happy to stand for Chair.  i'll post a
longer note on Tuesday when the membership is complete.

several points to consider:

- my stance is quite neutral, and i would not vote or lobby for a position
if i were selected as Chair

- i would welcome some Vice-Chairs -- partly to spread the load on what is
likely to be a pretty intense bit of work, and partly to allow some of the
advocates to participate in the leadership.
