It will be easier to have an
UNREG TLD to distinguish between the domains that are unregistered and the one registered.
You are trying to tell businesses in London that North Pole will be a good place
to locate their businesses because everybody knows that a business in North Pole
will be well established and authentic(long history), and nobody will mess the business
in Noth Pole.Your idea is not too bad, just driving the well established businesses
into a no-body-care-corner, so called .REG. Who knows what it means.
