The world does not evolve JUST around trademarks you know. The DNS was never meant to be, nor can it be a TradeMark System.

dot REG is a certificate of authentication.

Customers know what (tm) means - else why put it after trademark word?

Just minor publicity will tell them it is same as (tm) and guarentees source.
