Of course they will. They're only interested in their own investment, but are the
quickest to attack AT&T and other large corporations when they are trying to do the
same thing - protect THEIR investments. There's really no point in taking the .web
preregistration issue further in this forum. The people who have made the most personal
attacks and insults in this forum are mostly .web preregistration advocates. That
became immediately apparent as I went and looked at the archives of this forum. I
think the reasons become obvious when you look at the archives. Of course, I believe
that ICANN will make what I feel is the proper decision re: the preregistrations.
If anything, all the personal attacks and blatant insults have hurt their cause. From
what I've seen, Chris Ambler of IOD has some really good points and I think that
IOD deserves some role with the new gTLDs. It's really a shame that SOME of the holders
of .web preregistrations don't do any justice for IOD's cause.
