.WEB DATA BASE WON'T BE WIPED... |

I think the fear that the .WEB data base will be wiped are akin to chicken littles
"The Sky Is Falling". I believe proponents of .WEB are attempting to create a battle
over an issue which is irrelevant to the current issue. I believe that the future
of .WEB will depend on the success of The NEW TLDs chosen in this first test stage.
.WEB will not be chosen to be a part of this first stage because nothing can be learned
from a new TLD that has a large number of names already allocated. I do not believe
this rules IOD out of the first round. I believe if IOD enters with another "virgin"
TLD that their experience in the whole registration process would give them a very
good chance of being selected. If this scenario happens the .WEB Data Base will be
left intact until it is proven that New TLD's can in fact be beneficially implemented.
.WEB's Time Will Come...But NOT NOW!
